That's what I would like north of the border as well - if we are going to spend money on young foreign players why not let them be young Canadians... for TFC it puts them in the rather unique situation of having to dress five Americans but no Canadians if the league did not take back - and no has said they did - the extra international spots they were already given last season in addition to the three extra spots they got yesterday... I know a lot of fans complain about the preferential treatment the Galaxy appear to get but if I was any other team in the league I'd be scratching my head about TFC - they had twelve international slots last season (three of which could only be used for Americans), it appears traded for another plus added three (two of which must be American) more in the recent rule change which unless they brought their totals down to everyone else's before adding the three from this season would let them field 16 internationals... I'm not even in favour of the "quota' system but if a Canadian team has to field five Americans but does not have to field any Canadians something is a little off... Having said that Toronto FC could be where all the up and coming American players end up from a fiscal and roster rules sense it make more sense for Toronto FC to go after the five best young American players than almost any other team...
