Another point on the concern - it surely is a balancing thing.  Of course it is.  And it makes perfect sense to look at the direction that is going, extrapolate and see what could be a significant concern.

But I think you see with the DP angle, among others (esp. including the MLS Youth Initiative and the reserve division stuff) that this league is taking a pretty global view of the issues before it and trying to make smart decisions for long term success.

And yes, Jeff's point below is also of note.
