Personally - I *like* it that MLS is willing to bend rules (or outright ignore them) to try and keep the league moving forward.

This league is still a work in progress, and if for the next couple of years we have more international slots - that's OK with me.  It's not like the clubs have the salary cap room to field a team of 11 ringers even IF one team managed to trade and get 11 international slots.
