I guess I agree. The Blazers did, however, have some of the most loyal fans
for a long time; but the Blazers used to be one of the most successful
teams-
making the playoffs for like 20 straight years or something.  Since then,
the reign of the "JailBlazers" has seemed to turn Portland off.

 I will concur, however, on the diagnosis of Portland and Seattle.
The area is a bit ephemeral  on anything in professional sport that is
not the "X Games" or snowboarding, outdoor sports or squirrels water skiing
or what not.....
Why support sport when you can be "postmodernist cool" and sit around
with dishelved hair and sip chai ....
