So, when I come out to Seattle the end of August, are there any soccer games for me to watch? :)

Seriously, is there another city in the US that sells out this game  that quickly? We may not have an owner willing to buy into the business  model, but we do have a city that will support soccer as well or better  than any major town in the US. Okay, I'll stop being desperate. Doug

I've been here since 1981.  I've seen one Sounders team fold, and one on life support.
I believe we have a city that supports "big event" soccer.

US national team drew roughly 16k twice here last year, 19k in 2003.  Even Chelsea-Celtic drew much less in the second year of the CW tour.  Give 'em a big event every couple of years and attendance will stay high.

Of course, that may not be specific to Seattle.
