Which is great for the team if they can fill those slots with good players. But the original question stands -- what has the league done to "bend over backwards" for them. This seems to be a recurring statement that I don't buy.

They get  some decent room under the cap ($400 grand I believe). They  have two senior international slots and four junior ones.
