Dc is the "flagship" team in MLS.
My guess is this played a factor for both sides, MLS and Real?

I too, am puzzled at why this is played in Seattle?

Is there a reason why the Seattle Sounders weren't asked to play host for this game?

I know they are so called division 2, and may not be as good as DC United, but it strikes me that it would have been a good idea for them to host instead of United. On the other hand, maybe MLS is a co-promoter because they originally wanted to try and play it in the DC area.

In any case, I would be shocked, SHOCKED...if more than 40,000 tickets were sold of a RMA v DCU in two weeks. If that many or more were sold, MLS needs to put Seattle in the league next year.
