Doug -- Regarding ticket prices... Tickets for DC United v. Chelsea at the Redskins' FedEx Field were nearly that expensive last year. If memory serves me right, goal end were cheapest at $50, sidelines near midfield, lower rows, were $75 and other seats, higher up, were $125. [regular MLS games by DC United at RFK cost $16-40, which is higher than some other MLS teams charge] Also, with regard to concert tix, Seattle is an unusually low-priced market. In DC there are very few shows for less than $18, mediocre national/international acts cost $30-50, better acts cost $50-$75 and major acts like Prince or U2 cost as much as $125 for floor seats. [last year I had to pay $50 just for nosebleed seats to see U2] I feel your ticket price pain. But I'd pony up if they'd play here at home. In fact, I'm really pissed that this game is being played in the other Washington and not in DC. [It's not here, thanks to baseball and stadium sharing] A few weeks ago, we got stuck seeing United thump a crappy Celtic team for an international friendly. -- deborah e in dc --- See all of today's Soccer News Links at: http://www.sams-army.com/ NAS is hosted by America Kicks (http://www.americakicks.com) To subscribe or unsubscribe: http://nas.americakicks.com To post, send an email to nas@americakicks.com
