Chivsa USA played it's first ever game yesterday in Guadalajara and lost 1-0 to Mexican side Tigres.
The lone goal was an own goal by Orlando Pérez whne he miscomunicated with starting veteran keeper Martín Zúñiga.
Among other ex-Chivas regulars in the line were Ramón Ramírez, Issac Romo and Gabriel García.
Chivas will now take the next 40 days off and reconvene for the offical pre-season.
Assistant coach Zully Ledezma was surprised by the lack of fitness of some the MLS players on the squad, but he said that the problem will be fixed come the start of the season.
For those of you who don't know, Paco Palencia will stay with Chivas (Mexico) until the end of the Clausura 2005 tourney (which ends in the Summer) and then join Chivas USA when the international transfer window opens (or before because MLS owns his contract and he's on loan to Guadalajara).
Cheers!
Robert.
