[nas] UEFA Ruling...could affect yanks big time (response somewhat OT)

Dear Jeff:

Your post brings to mind a question that I have never
seen answered.  Does a country's membership in the
European Union mean that "foreigner" is effectively
defined as someone from outside the EU?

I am assuming that the great number of Europeans of
other than the home league's nationality (the leagues
I have watched most are the Premiership, Ligue 1 and
La Liga} already reflects the strengthening of EU ties
in the last decade or so.
