Its not as if soccer in other countries doesn't also have labor problems. There is decidedly less of it, it would seem, but it is there. The whole threat of a strike/lockout part of Americana more than it is part of sports. Workers rights and the ability to protest (i.e. strike) are part of what makes this country great. (getting off of soapbox now - my wife just got sworn in as a full citizen today so I've waxing a bit about democracy these days). We can only hope that the leaders on both sides of this scenario keep the big picture in mind. It will be pretty damaging to both sides to go as far as a atrike/lockout.
