I think there is a lot of confusion in these 'off
season' training stints. some of the younger MLS
player's agents set up these training opportunities in
the hopes that the youngster might impress. At the
Quakes we've had Jamil Walker training with Celtic
last year. while Jamil and Celtic both claimed it was
a 'look', it was set up as training. Recently the
Quakes had one of their keepers in with Chelsea.
Doubtful he will replace Cech or Cudicini!
The players love the potential and the foreign clubs
get a freebie. Unless a MLS player is out of contract
it is unlikely that they are seriously looking to sign
on with the overseas team.
