But we know the second part of this is wrong, with respect to PSV. It is quite
easy to get a work permit in Holland. As long as they pay you above a certain
figure (about 400k Euros, IIRC), it's done.

I tended to think of the ManU thing as training, which EJ has done every year,
and which was scheduled before his current form. PSV, however, is a recent
addition, and I tend to think of it as something of a trial, though the lines
on this can be blurry. Not that it means I'm necessarily scared we'll lose
him--Dempsey's visit to Feyenoord was definitely a trial, and the league still
kept him.

Subject: [nas] Eddie J and PSV

It is only a training session. At least that is what is being claimed
in the latest Dallas Morning News:

Johnson, 20, is underway with a two-week spell at Manchester United.
From there, it's on to PSV, which already employs fast-rising American
winger DaMarcus Beasley. The Dutch Eredivisie leader also is close to
securing a spot in Champions League knockout stages.

These training spells aren't official tryouts; obtaining a work permit
would be unlikely for now.
