There is a moral to this somewhere concerning the MLS and the Mexican club playing in it. Like what does the league gain by having this club with all it's foreign players in the league? Money is not enough reason....

My guess is higher attendance, which translates into money anyway. Listen to this:
One time I went to KC on a weeknight to see the Wiz play Monarcos Morelia in some tournament I don't even remember what it was, I just have this vague memory that it wasn't a friendly. Now, KC on a weeknight draws 3 to 4,000 stalwart fans. It's a practically empty stadium for weeknight games. But when a mexican league team is in town, different story. There were probably 12,000+ Morelia supporters there and I think fewer than a thousand Wiz supporters. And it was a cold night in November, I think.
Same thing happened when Santos Laguna came to town. Huge numbers of mexican fans came out to watch, more than the Morelia game, but I think it was a weekend and warm weather.
So when Chivas del norte comes to your MLS town, not only will thousands of hispanics show up to cheer them on, judging by the tone of some of these emails, maybe hundreds more will show up to cheer against them.
Just a theory I'm working on. For a taste of what's ahead be sure to catch the Guadalajara derby (Chivas/Atlas) tomorrow live at 8pm EST on Telefutura.
