Well, we now have the original Evil Empire of MLS against the Boys in Blue.  I guess we will find out if the East really was that bad this year since DC certainly has been the hottest team in the East over the past month.

 

Props to DC for getting back to the Cup - five appearances in nine games is certainly impressive.

 

Props to the United organization - 21,000 is a good playoff attendance, and it sure was a great atmosphere.  Certainly, that is an example for all of us to aim for, wherever we lie on the continuum in MLS - whether we're casual fans, hard-core fans of a more passive nature, active supporters, office staff, etc.  That was a great sporting *event*, all the way around.

The place was electric (even got through the usually muted FSW broadcast).
It really was one of those emotional rollercoaster games. Some stunning goals too (Eskie, TT and Chrstián Gómez).
I'm sooooooooo glad that DC got through, with the Galaxy out (dopes!) at least there is some reason to create some buzz for the final. I can't imagine a worse scenario that Revs-Wiz uhg!.
Plus it's justice. Matt Reis should have been red-carded in the 2nd game vs. The Crew when he conceded the first penalty.
I'm looking forward to going to LA now.
Hopefully soccer fans will go to the final even if the Galaxy are not there.

That was a fun game to watch with both teams playing a wide open style of play. Sure there were a few gaffes but the level of excitement was thru the roof IMHO.

Congrats to the victors and let's hope the final can come close to the fun I witnessed last night.
