The first yellow was for the tackle on Bobby, but the second yellow could not have been for the contact with Beasley -- the ref did not even call a foul on that.  The ref stopped play because Beasley was down on the ground.  After play had been stopped for a while, the ref pulled out the card.  After the scrum finished, the ref restarted play from a drop ball which the US gave back to El Salvador (a Salvadoran player was in the process of playing the ball out when the ref blew the whistle).

At the time, I figured that the second yellow was for the tackle on Beasley and that the AR or 4th official had pointed it out to the ref.  However, after the game, all parties involved made it quite clear that the second yellow was for the jewelry.

I'm pretty sure that he got the first yellow from a tackle on Convey around the 10th minute, and then got his second yellow for a waist high tackle on Beasley.  I think the argument from the coach was that he didn't feel the 2nd foul should've been a yellow card, but I'm almost positive both yellows were from fouls committed during play.

From USSF:
Misconduct Summary:
SLV – Denis Alas (caution)                8th minute.
USA – Bobby Convey (caution)        18.
SLV – Denis Alas (caution)                26.
SLV – Denis Alas (ejection)               26.
USA – Conor Casey (caution)            49.
SLV – Alfredo Pacheco (caution)       57.

I'm pretty sure the 8th minute caution was from his tackle/stamp on the foot of Convey, and the 2nd was when he want with his studs about waist high against Beasley..

P.S.  My question is:  Why no card to the goalkeeper for ES when he pretty clearly raised his boot on Beasley and gave him a nice cleat to the face..  He sure made it look like he tried to pull away, but he clearly lifted that foot to begin with to hit Beasley..

I definitely saw the second yellow card.  It was a good bit later -- maybe even a minute -- that the red came out.  Earlier, somebody mentioned that the ref may have pulled out the yellow without thinking and then realized it was the player's second yellow after a bit, hence the delay
