There are a number of stadiums being used in MLS that don't seem like a soccer venue and Giants Stadium still has turf. If anything, the Alamo Dome looks better than Giants Stadium, Arrowhead, or any other place to play. Plus, it's been downsized for basketball and still looked good, so I'm not concerned about it being cavernous. They'd still have turf in Seattle too, at least until Mike Holmgren leaves the Seahawks, so I don't see the turf as a detractor. Plus, having experienced the new stuff, It really isn't bad at all.
