[nas] Good Narrative History of US Soccer.... Anything?

I figured if anybody knew, all of you would.  Can you think of any good books on soccer in the United States, ala People Passion (Barcelona) or anything of the sort?  I know there are books galore on coaching, and bunches of statistical histories.... but anything of a narrative on the history of the game stateside?

 

Any insight into this would be appreciated.
