Morning everyone,

The following is a breakdown of information that may be of interest to travelling U.S. supporters planning on attending the September 4, 2004  World Cup Qualifier between the U.S. and El Salvador. This match, the first part of a doubleheader at Gillette Stadium, will also feature a MLS contest between the New England Revolution and the San Jose Earthquakes.

The U.S. vs. El Salvador WCQ is scheduled to start at 4:00PM EST. The Midnight Riders, a New England Revolution independent supporters association, are coordinating U.S. supporters activities for this match.


TICKET INFORMATION

The designated U.S. supporters section will likely be in Section 143, aka "The Fort." Please understand that this is a designated standing, general admission section. If you do not desire to stand for the duration of the match, or wish to be an active participant in the proactive displays of support (chanting, singing, visual displays), please consider purchasing tickets elsewhere. This will be both to your benefit, as well of those who plan to be active in Section 143.

As always, WEAR RED!

Tickets for the U.S. supporters section (including Sam's Army, USA Supporters, etc.) are currently available through the Midnight Riders at a cost of $20.00 each. That's right, $20.00 each! The Riders will be charging $1 per order (not per ticket) for processing/mailing out the tickets. Check out the following page for more information: http://www.midnightriders.com/Tickets/Tickets.htm. These tickets are good for both the U.S. match, as well as the 2nd half of the doubleheader.

As of 12:00PM on August 5th, just over 230 tickets have been sold, with the Riders anticipating more to be sold in coming weeks. So if you're interested in purchasing tickets, please send in a check to the Midnight Riders ASAP, at:

Please note:

Please include a piece of paper with your order stating your name & address, as well as an email address so we can send confirmation to when you mail in your order. Also, Please send the details of your order via email to themidnightriders@yahoo.com so the Riders know what checks to be looking out for.

U.S. SUPPORTERS TAILGATE INFORMATION:

The tailgate for this match will be hosted by the Midnight Riders, and will be located in the "Ford Thunderbird" Lot of Gillette Stadium, seen through the following link: http://www.midnightriders.com/Tailgates/Map.gif

The tailgate is free, is B.Y.O.B., and while there's often some extra food, feel free to bring something of your own. Security is always in the area, so we encourage everyone to play by the rules.

Please note: parking gates to Gillette Stadium open no earlier than two hours prior to game time. If you arrive early, stadium parking staff will turn you away. In the event information is obtained to suggest an earlier lot opening time, such information will be passed along accordingly.


U.S. SUPPORTERS HOTEL INFORMATION:

The Midnight Riders have reserved a block of 20 rooms at The Fairfield Inn in Dedham for Friday/Saturday/Sunday night at $94 each night (not including a tax of 9.7%). This rate includes a full deluxe continental breakfast.

The Riders have rooms available from Friday night through Sunday night (checking out Monday). or fans can stay for only two days (Friday/Saturday nights) at the same $94/night rate.

Supporters interested in booking a room need to submit their request via email by no later than 12:00 Noon, August 9th. After that, the rooms will be thrown open to the general public. Please send your name, requested number of rooms, a preference for single or double beds, and for what nights you need them to themidnightriders@yahoo.com

MORE EVENT INFORMATION: COMMEMORATIVE SCARVES:

Special, limited edition commemorative supporters scarves are being made available for this World Cup Qualifying match by the Midnight Riders at a cost of $15 each (not including $3.95 shipping and handling).
