GK - Kasey Keller: Can you say that there is a U.S. GK
that is definitively better?
Cen.Def - Eddie Pope: Most experienced D-Back
Cen.Def - Carlos Bocanegra: His experience in England
weighs heavier than Vanney's experience in France.
Out.Def - Bobby Convey: He's got a great work rate,
fearless, and good vision moving forward...
Out.Def - Frankie Hejduk: Work rate and effective
attacking out of the back make him one of BA's favs.
D.Mid- Claudio Reyna: Holds well and sees the field
out of tbe back; not as quick on the attack as LD.
Out.Mid - Damarcus Beasley: His speed is undefendable.
Out.Mid - Earnie Stewart: Good on-field leader.
Att.Mid - Landon Donovan: Best attacking player and
best all around attacking game (passing and shooting)
Forward - Conor Casey: Can knock it down and lay it
off to Landon, Earnie, McB, or DMB.
Forward - Brian McBride: Makes things happen in the
box and has a good head for the goal (literally and
figuratively).

Suprise starters or Subs:
Armas for Bocanegra as a DMid, but more withdrawn
(almost like a fourth defender)
Hedjuk at RMid for Stewart w/ Sanneh in the back.

Take it to the bank:
There is no way E.Lewis or J.Kirovski will start on
Sunday (having said that, watch BA feature them in the
lineup on Sunday...).

Looking at this lineup, Mastroeni's last minute
exclusion leaves a GAPING hole at DMid, especially
since Zavagnin and Mulrooney didn't get a call.

NOTABLY ABSENT (in my book):
Taylor Twellman, Pablo Mastroeni, John O'Brien, Tim
Howard, Brad Friedel, Clint Mathis, Richard Mulrooney,
Kerry Zavagnin, Gregg Berhalter.
