Well, the problem with FSW is that only about 20 million homes at most get the
channel. ESPN and ESPN2 are in virtually every home with cable or satellite TV.
Many on this list would love to have FSW, but don't have access to it for one
reason or another. A good portion of the audience would be left in the cold
without a game on ESPN2.

Besides that, id 2-3 games a weekend were on FSW, that sort of diminishes the
value of the DirectKick package doesn't it? Plus most of the games are on at
about the same time. I guess they could be staggered for TV, but I'd much
rather watch the local feed where commentators are actually at the game instead
of the studio call with piped in crowd noise. If I have the choice, I always
watch the DirectKick feed over FSW's version because all of the game's
atmosphere is lost when they call an MLS game from the studio. I feel more
removed from FSW's version of a match. They do a good job of preserving the
game's feel when they do a Bundesliga game, but fail when they do an MLS match.
If they could work that out, it would be more worthwhile.

The situation isn't ideal obviously, but realy there is no viable alternative
for getting MLS games in front of a true national audience.
