I wish they would just end this charade. Why put another team in any market when there are already plenty of places capable of supporting teams without one? I know investors are needed in various markets first, but this thing really rubs me the wrong way. To me, this whole thing is nonsense. To put a second team in either of two well supported markets is infuriating. How does this help with a TV deal, expanding the national footprint, or gaining A simple solution to the investor problem, aside from taking Vagara's pole with a smile, would be to figure out what it takes to get an investor in Seattle, Houston, Philly, and even Rochester and make it work and tell Vagara to piss off. After the Horowitz debacle and seeing other investors drop out over the years, it doesn't surprise me that it's so hard to get something done in other possible expansion cities. This is the kind of thing that makes me lose my patience with MLS. Does MLS want to be a top flight league or does it want to be a feeder league for Mexico? Is the league so desper ate for investment in it's bizarro world business model that it will sell its soul to any investment? Between this and the Club America rumors that won't die, I'm losing faith in the league's long term future.
