Kev - While I agree with wanting Landon to be the best he can be, I think
that the specifics of your theory may be flawed (I do NOT accept the premise
that Bundesliga [BD] has better goalies) but the sentiment may be right on -
Seems its the defensive line (rather than just the GK) that is of a much
higher level overall in the German BD.  Also, the value of working with
world-class level midfields game in and game out can not be discounted.

I tell you, if Landon had been playing in Germany the year
before '02 and had learned how to finish against higher quality keepers (not
that MLS has shoddy keepers, but they aren't at the level of the Bundesliga,
etc.) he finishes at least one of the those shots on goal against Germany.
(Granted, I understand that he got to where he was because of the confidence
he gained in MLS - but now that he has that confidence, he needs to be
overseas.  Just one fellows opinion.)
