Ummmm.....kindof.....well it (Alamo dome) holds 65,000 or so, turf, has a
roof (good for hot summer games)

Alamodome Facts
Fact No. 1
The Alamodome has seven elevators and two freight elevators.

Fact No. 2
The Alamodome has 961 doors and 88 restrooms.

Fact No. 3
The Alamodome has 160,000 gross square feet of contiguous exhibit floor
space.

Fact No. 4
The Alamodome has a four sided Sony JumboTron video screen hanging from the
roof which weighs 30 tons. It was moved over from the Hemisphere Arena and
is the first Sony JumboTron ever installed in an indoor arena.

Even more facts

The Alamodome is what is known as a "third generation" facility. It features
the very latest in dome architecture and engineering technology, with
column-free spans for unobstructed viewing and a curtain wall system for
configuration flexibility. So whatever your event, chances are the Alamodome
can accommodate you.

I'm actually surprised they bailed out of Texas so quickly. San Antonio
seems to me to be a decent option. It seems that Vergara is trying to avoid
the possibility of eventually building his own stadium, hence interest in
San Diego (a now unoccupied Jack Murphy Stadium), LA (HDC) and now Chicago
(their new stadium). Does San Antonio have the proper kind of facility?

Darrin
(who still gets a chuckle that spellcheck suggests that Vergara be changed
to Viagra, how apropo).
