He'll get a bunch of starts. He's a d-mid, and I think Bob's trying to come out early in the season with a lot of fire power out of the midfield until the 3 new forwards get settled. All of the midfielders starting today are more attack minded. It's too bad he was injured for the Olympic qualifiers. Rico is going to play in the big game one day.
Ricardo Clark(6.5): Didn't play enough time for me to
see how he can manage a midfield, but he did show a
great pullback move, and looks calm, cool, and
collected. Oh yeah, and big and fast. He's scary...
and he's going to get scarier. Why doesn't he start?
Metros Defense(4): They looked disorganized. DC had
some very good runs of posession and made the Metros
look amateur for a while.
They really did. Defense is the big question right now for the Metros.
Eddie Gaven(4.5): Eh? What's the big deal? Not asI thought he made some great plays.
good as his first game, but you can see the talent is
there. Maybe I was too starstruck by Vaca to care
much about Gaven.
John Wolyniec(7): He's talented... he looks goofy, butPoor Woly. I'm telling you, he's a poor man's McHead. McHead has a few more rounds of re-constructive surgery on the cheeks before he has to worry about the looks though. But Woly finds the back of the net when it counts and that's all that matters.
he's talented. I like him enough to say that he
deserves to start over Magee. Nice effort on the
goal, especially considering the rug-burn he must have
on his forehead!
