He couldn't start for MLS teams because most mls teams are forward heavy/healthy this past season. Wolyneic in 2002 played for Milwaukee and a little for the Fire when the Fire called him up. In 2003, w/o an A-Leauge contract, Bradley wisely wanted him on the Metrostars. In 2004, if Mathis is truly gone, I expect to see him on the fieldturf a lot more.
