MLS COMMISSIONER DON GARBER TO INTRODUCE NEW INVESTOR IN TUESDAY PRESS 
CONFERENCE
                

            NEW YORK (Tuesday, September 23, 2003) - Major League Soccer 
Commissioner Don Garber will introduce the League's newest investor-operator, 
Stan Kroenke and Kroenke Sports Enterprises, in a press conference to be held 
on Tuesday evening at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. 
 

            At the press conference Kroenke Sports will announce the purchase 
of MLS' Colorado Rapids soccer team from Anschutz Entertainment Group and its 
plans to build a new stadium for the club which currently plays at Invesco 
Field at Mile High. 

 

            The Rapids, one of MLS' 10 charter clubs, currently stand in second 
place in the Western Conference and have already clinched a berth in the 2003 
MLS Cup Playoffs with five matches remaining in the regular season. The 1997 
MLS Cup finalists, the League's hottest club with an MLS-best 9-1-2 record in 
their last 12 matches, return to action when they host the Eastern Conference 
leading Chicago Fire on Wednesday, October 1 (9:30 p.m. ET).
