the first five I agree with, no doubt. The next...well, I'm only 15, I
can't remember that far!
:-) Let me throw in a few comments and suggest that you see if you can find
someone who has a copy of these on video.

Our first modern World Cup win, against a team that was supposed to win the
World Cup - this game basically put us into the second round. I would argue
that it was the greatest soccer atmosphere for a US game ever - a packed
Rose Bowl, everyone hoping (but not expecting) for a win, and getting it.
Even on tape, you can smell the excitement.

Trinidad '89
This is the game that put us in the World Cup in 1990 - we had to win on the
road, and we did it. Not real pretty soccer, but it was SO important. This
is where the modern US team began.

England '93
In the grand scheme of things, not as big of a game except that we won, 2-0,
over England. It was a part of the US Nike Cup.

Italy '90
We lost 1-0, but that was the first time we actually looked like we could
hold our own on the World Cup stage - in Italy, against a favorite to win
the Cup.

Brazil '98
Our first (and only) win over Brazil, this was arguably the best game Kasey
Keller has ever had. Romario said after the game it was the best
performance by a keeper he had seen in his life. Pretty high praise from a
guy who has made his career out of beating every kind of goalkeepers, even
the best.

Germany '02
We went down swinging - we were the better team on the field, but we
couldn't get the ball to fall in for us. But this was the first time you
saw the US play in a game no one was taking for granted, with going to the
Semis on the line, and the team was worthy of playing for it.
