Probably something to that. I know, re: Dallas, though, the guys did a pretty good job of keeping their mouth shut to the regular media. To a few of the guys who will get us inside info (3rd Degree.net, etc.), though, they were saying that it would take them two days to get over playing on turf and get their legs back... That specific statement was made by a rookie, not some worn-down veteran... At the same time, I think the question about Metro's turf is a good one - if it is better, and good enough, hey, I am all for it. I mean, I rode a motorcycle from Dallas to KC for our road trip earlier this year. Sure, it was a nice ride, but 1100 miles in two days? Are you kidding me? And I have one of the more comfortable saddles out there (albeit stock). I would MUCH rather do half that to go to San Antonio. I mean, the ride to the USA-Mexico game in Houston was a much easier ride. So if it doesn't affect the quality of play, bring it on. Granted, not everyone takes these road trips on motorcycles, but then again, eight hours in a car isn't that much better. A half-day drive is a lot easier to pull off, cheaper, easier on the body, etc. I am just not sure that is the case. If anyone has an ear inside the Metro lockerroom, what is the word? --- Original Message --- From: "Keith Bundy" <kdaleb@bundy.biz> To: "NAS" <nas@americakicks.com> Subject: Re: [nas] MLS Expansion - San Antonio - article and comments >I would suspect that at least a portion of that is the culture surrounding >turf - it is not in vogue for a soccer player to accept anything less than a >Cotton Bowl-ish pitch. > >----- Original Message ----- >From: <KLINDSTR@flash.net> > > >> What do the Metro players say about their turf?
