Because the talent pool won't be there.

Hopefully, when expansion happens, they will not dilute the current pool by
having an expansion draft that kills depth on every team.  I would rather
see the expansion teams start young and struggle a bit the first year than
see the quality of play decline.

What happens if there are 5-6 GOOD options for expansion THIS year ?  Does
MLS say "no thank you wait a couple of years" ?  Why could MLS NOT bring in
5-6 teams over the next two years ?

Any thoughts ?
