This reminds me of the discussions when Ernie Stewart, Thomas Dooley and Roy Wegerle individually joined the time. We all reacted in similar manners. Of course, the quality of the US player pool was substantially different then, so we all knew that the team would improve immediatley once they stepped on the field. Times are different now, and while his pedigree appears sound, you have to account for team chemistry too.
What I'm most interested in seeing is how this affects players who hold similar roles like <cough> the coaches son<cough>.
