 Well, by your standard, this woman is a danger to her living kid and that kid should be removed immediately from the home.

 

Look, make your "safety run amok" claim until the cows come home.  You have ground to stand on there.  But to blame the mom is tasteless.  As a dad, I can tell you that this kid climbing the net could have happened in about 5 seconds.  Even if she was a few feet away, she may not have had time to stop it.
