To be fair, that is pretty much where our culture has gone, for good and for ill.   When McDonald's hands out toys with their happy meals, they're supposed to assume young children will stuff the toys in their mouths and choke on them.  They are supposed to take "reasonable" measures to stop that from happening.

What "reasonable" means is where the fun begins. . .
