I also think that the condition of the field was an issue... the way the ball bounced around on there turned the game into a crapshoot.  I think my weekend pickup game that plays on an open patch of land at a nearby park has a better pitch than that.

Yep --- I've been viewing our win in the light of Saturday's often shocking results.  France?  Italy?  Scotland?  England looked dire despite pulling off the win.  Apparently whatever ailment we had vs. Cuba was affecting everyone....
