Okay, I'll buy his argument and be patient a while longer.  But...it's less than 2 years now until 2010 begins and if we do qualify then I want that young blood ready for the pressure and away games in the Hex are not the time/place for that learning to take place.

The following was a nice reminder that in the world of qualifying, strange things happen to nearly everyone in the game. It's easy to criticize the USMNT performance (I did!), but easy to forget that what appears to be a fait accompli on paper often provides a very different reality when it comes to WC qualifying, especially on the road!
