At this point, I'd only like Cooper as an offensive sub. From what I've seen, he's not good enough with his back to the goal, and when it comes to defending set pieces, no good at all. Goals like the one he gifted Colorado on Thursday can be devastating at the international level (as Guatemala saw against us).
As for Frankie, one big problem is that his forward runs pose more of a nuisance than a threat. He isn't skilled enough to turn them into scoring opportunities. In spite of that, I agree that he's a useful player and still valuable as long as his body holds out.
Just to mention, I think Onyewu is playing sensationally. He's anticipating well and looking much quicker.
