We did dominate possession. Save for a short spell (late in the second
half?), we stroked the ball around at will. We just failed to do much
with it in the last third. Interesting that some of you guys really
think LD disappeared in this one. The LD I saw was constantly screaming
for the ball after making great runs, only to be missed by Edu or
Beasliey. And made a handful of of incisive passes in the second half,
including several into the box only to have someone flub the chance. I
agree we lack ideas up front, but I think the poor touch of Beasley and
Ching are more to blame than any failure of LD. In fact, had Beasley
played like the Beasley we know, it would have been 3 or 4-0. I think
LDs biggest problem was Edu taking it upon himself to lead the attack
and taking the game around and over LD. Despite the goal, Demps looks
totally out of sorts.

The thing that strikes me most about these away CONCACAF matches is that
between the conditions and 11 men behind the ball defenses, it doesn't
really resemble the 'real' game. It's such a crap shoot, I'm just happy
to come away with the win. Which, btw, we did. And now we have 6
points in 2 away matches, including the toughest away match of the
group. No doubt we need help up top--I think Jozy and Freddy will be
very useful along those lines, and I imagine we'll see them soon.
