2001 away qualifier USA vs Costa Rica in San Jose. Just a couple of us & we were lucky to be invited to sit in a private box. I don't remember seeing any USA flags in the crowd and the local fans were very rude. Howling loudly during the American national anthem and just about everyone we passed cursed and flipped us off. It would've been great if we would've won or at least tied then I could've given it back but we lost 2-0.

I had fun and would do it again but it's definitely not for the timid.
