That may be true, although I'd find it a little surprising. The old Quakes used to train at West Valley College in Saratoga, which is grass. They did, however, play reserve games on a really ugly turf field.

correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the e-quakes train on turf?  That was the rumor going around here in Toronto, so it must be that he wanted to live in California.

Between this and the reports that Darren Huckerby steered clear of Toronto to avoid the turf up north, we might have a few debates over the fake grass in the near future.
