GIVE ME THE
METRIC SYSTEM !!!!!
As I said to Yanqui Sammer in e-mail, neither system is superior,
it's a personal choice, and right now far more Americans are
comfortable w/ the English system so the English system stays.
If there ever comes a day where more Americans are comfortable with
the metric system, I'll be the first one to say we should adopt
itt.
We can't have a situation like in Britain a few years ago, where the
government (kowtowing to socialist EU bureaucrats) forced the metric
system upon a public that didn't want it.

That is not right. Science uses the metric system.
It is only because Americans insist on a length that is a
defined as i.e. an inch, and they think of it as 2.54
centimeters.
To change, you have to let go of the unmanageable inches and
ounces. You actually have to think in metric.
It is just like learning a language. You don't really know it
unless you manage to think in that language without having to
translate.
