 For the record,  yes, your post hit a nerve.
My reaction was knee-jerk. I apologize.

  I am not sure what you want to hear Eric?
Korea was lively, they had the run of play?  I thought
it was obvious?
Did our playing a typical "road" match mentality have anything to do
with them looking like world beaters?  I thought it did.
We played them a few months ago and they again had good possession.
However, we closed them down much better around the bottom 1/3 of
the pitch and did not allow the avalanche of shots near the keeper....some
on target,
some off, but our marking and closing on that end was poor in the WC match.
 Look-  I have seen Korea play several teams-  I thought they had the better
possesion and build up vs Costa Rica......but they lost.... on the counter.

I think we had a decent strategy going into the match-
be patient, do not commit too many forward, look for the odd goal and
defend.  Not sexy, but effective.  That is all.
