Others do come to mind... Bebeto's cradle rock (which was certainly not
derogatory to the other team), and the lifting of jerseys to reveal a
message-bearing shirt underneath (which I believe was banned). While I can
understand the reason that "goal celebration" was done, it was certainly
divisive and seems to defeat the World Cup "goal" of bringing people
together. The thing that bugs me the most about it is that it gives a whole
niche of Americans a reason to dislike Koreans, and that to me is sad.
