They won't finish last because they did get a point
from Uruguay. As of this morning, there are six teams that have not yet
won any points. So France will probably finish in the low to mid
20's. Also, the tie-breaker before goals scored is goal difference, and
theirs is only -3.

that France is out of the cup? Not only are they out of the cup, they
did not score a single goal, and will probably finish dead last in the
tournament (just like the USA did in 98). I don't think that France is
really that bad of a team, just as I never thought that the 1998 US team was
*that* bad. Timing really comes into effect in these World Cup games.
One team may peak at the right team, while another me bottom out at the
wrong time.
