Frequently (or not so frequently) Asked Question about Paul Navarre, America Kicks and how that relates to NAS!

Ok, so who are you?

Paul Navarre, born in that great hotbed of soccer known as Madison, Wisconsin. Now residing in Beaverton, OR with my wife and 1 year old son.

What do you do?

I am the owner of Net Interaction, an Internet hosting and consulting company. I also have a few new ventures in the works...

Why have you agreed to host the site?

I love soccer. NAS has been a important source of information and enjoyment for me over the years, and I want to do all I can to make sure that continues.

What are your soccer credentials?

I can usually kick a ball without hurting myself. Growing up in the Midwest, if the ball didn't have points or big red seams, it was considered a basketball. However, after a semester living in Europe while in college, I became hooked as a spectator. I've since traveled thousands of miles to see the US play; if I didn't have a family, I wouldn't miss a match. Standing with Sam's Army is one of life's great joys.

Do you have an ulterior motive?

Well, um, yes I do. I am launching a new venture aimed at the soccer-loving market, and hosting this site seemed like a good way to help get the America Kicks brand name out in front of people.

What is America Kicks?

America Kicks is a new venture that I am starting in a few weeks. I have been working with clothing and equipment suppliers to build a new line of soccer related products under the America Kicks name. My goal is to bring quality products to the marketplace via the Internet for a fraction of the cost of other outlets. In the near term my company will have caps, shirts and sweatshirts with the America Kicks logo. Longer term, I am currently having samples made of a super rain jacket, training cones, jewelry, balls and a few other things. We are hopeful we can bring these items to the market for significantly less than you would normally pay. Please visit http://www.americakicks.com, and keep it bookmarked. I am most interested to hear any comments anyone has. Also, let me know if you have requests for items that are either hard to find or are too expensive. Finally, let me know if you would like to be on my mailing list for the announcement of new products. Contact me at paul@americakicks.com

Anything else going on that might be interesting?

Glad you asked! I am also working on another venture (to be named) that might be of interest to anyone that needs clothing or other items with a club or company logo on it. Through some of the same connections as America Kicks, I am getting fantastic prices on high quality clothing and other objects, with your logo transferred or embroidered onto them. The goal is to have a website that makes it easy for an organizer to order what items they want. Optionally, they can set up a unique URL to give to their members where they can order the product directly from the site. No money to collect! The organizer can also set the price higher than cost if they want to use the service as a fundraiser. If you or your club needs logo-ed items, let me know at paul@americakicks.com.

Will I be subjected to incessant advertising or subtle posts hawking America Kicks stuff?

No. I hate being spammed as much as anyone and I promise not to abuse the situation. There is one line that mentions my website in the footer of each message, and the America Kicks logo and a link to my site is on the http://nas.americakicks.com website. After this message there won't be any other plugging of my site. Big Dog will keep me in line :-)

What would happen if America Kicks goes broke?

Business as usual. The servers and software I am running NAS from is in place for my other business, Net Interaction. This business is financially sound, and I am pledging to run NAS regardless of the financial situation of America Kicks.

What are your predictions for the World Cup?

The US wins its group outright by drawing Portugal and beating Poland and South Korea. We lose in the next round on a golden goal. Mathis is sold to Manchester United for 8 million pounds after scoring 5 goals in the Cup, including a surprising hat trick against Poland.

Are you on any medication?

I wouldn't care to say, but I will say that I am getting better.

Once again, welcome! Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your NAS experience better.
